Lunch at Classic Cafe: Discovery Mall Tuban

Leaving it late for lunch today I remembered a place in Discovery Shopping Mall in Tuban, that overlooks the ocean. Classic Cafe is a unique little place that has outside seating under shades and an inside area. In the evenings they also have band. Walking through the mall, I wasn’t tempted to buy anything, but did see one encouraging sight, a young lady handing out beer vouchers (won’t see any of that under Sharia Law). Upon closer investigation I found out the vouchers were an inviation to buy something first and get a beer. Oh well, I still like their style, pretty girls and beer are a winner.

A while ago I met the manager of Classic Cafe and you can hear what he has to say. Today I ordered a fish sandwich. It was not quite what I expected but it was alright. The young staff consisted of 2 teenage girls who looked like sisters, both 1m 47cm…that’s tiny! We chatted and I told them I was ‘asli Bali’ (pure Balinese). They gasped and asked me if I was a ‘mixed juice’. My sandwich and watermelon juice was 34,000rp.
