Meeting Terry & Rod in Seminyak Bali
Bali fans Terry & Rod from Melbourne are here in Bali again, and I met with them at home. A couple of very decent blokes, Rod is married and Terry is single. A recent event that brought a new meaning to their friendship was watching Brokeback Mountain together.
Rod told me they couldn’t finish the movie, so close to the bone was the subject matter. Neither is gay, or has any problems with people who are, but let’s face it, the idea of jumping all over your mate in a pup tent is enough to make blokes run home. Needless to say, plenty of roommate jokes followed. Its Rod’s birthday today, and at 33 he is expecting some kind of special surprise from Terry.
We ate at Santa Fe at around 3.30pm, the food was average but the staff were friendly. I told the waitress that Terry was single and was a nice man. The word spread, and he got the phone number of another waitress. Doesn’t take long over here. The guys were heading down to Blue Ocean beach to watch the sunset, while I headed home. Hope to hang out with them again soon. Rod commented that Kuta looked empty, which it is right now. Let’s hope things pick up.
