Balinese culture: A highlight of living in Bali

In my gang which is one of the gangs behind party street, Jl. Dhyana Pura live many Balinese families. Unlike their ‘bule’ neighbors, most are not party animals. Last night I went down to Kuta to Stadium Cafe to watch soccer. When I first came to Bali, that was a regular place for me. I was amazed to see 3 of the staff who I had accompanied to Besakih temple 3 years ago and Yuli, offered to take me again if they go.

Coming back to Seminyak around midnight I stopped in my gang to say hello to Ketut, a local girl, who was giving offerings with another lady. Earlier in the evening, the banjar pavilion that is near my house was knocking out traditional music and I felt lucky to be surrounded by this elegant culture.
