Saturday morning at Global in Kerobokan Bali

Sitting here at Global Xtreme on Saturday morning, I am waiting for my fruit salad & yoghurt (20,000rp). I’ve had it before, its not just good, its damn good! Usually it has melon, papaya, mango, banana, besides the yoghurt, and a touch of granola and honey.

Right after that, I am shooting over to Arjuna immigration, to get more info on that visa news, I heard last night from an expat. I slept about 5 hours last night, was up at 6am for a beach walk. The visa news was on my mind, and I was tossing around scenarios of how the future might work.

Right now, no one has mentioned anything to me, about visa changes, the Jakarta Post hasn’t said anything. I reckon pretty soon, when people figure things out, there will be a mad rush to book tickets to Singapore / KL. My own 60 day visa, expires at the of October, which I’d like to extend here as planned. Don’t really want to have to fly out so soon, bloody ridiculous. Indo Pres. SBY, wants to close the door on ‘bules’ working without paying tax. I can understand that, but hope they are smart enough, to realize that having foreigners living in Bali, who don’t pay tax, is still advantageous to the economy. Don’t believe me, look at Lombok. The people there have there asses hanging out of their pants. If you kick out half the expats in Bali, there will be a lot of sorry faced Balinese, who have been milking the ‘bule’ cow for a long time.
