No change in Bali
What joke this place is. I just went to Circle K in Seminyak, and had to leave without my stuff, because the guy couldn’t change 50,000rp.
Infrastructure / education / corruption and organization are huge barriers to getting things done here, as well as the country moving forward. When a chain store can’t change $5, its a bad sign. The guy was nice about it, and suggested I go to a money changer. There’s only so much shit I can deal with, so I declined.
If you are visiting Bali, change will often be an issue. Always count your change, always have plenty of change when taking a taxi, as the drivers pretend not to have change, hoping you will allow them to keep it.
