The Delights of Ketupat: Legian
With literally hundreds of excellent restaurants in the tourist areas of Bali, each offering its own unique cuisine, one is definitely spoilt for choice. Of course it depends on your budget, but, if you want to have a culinary experience that you will never forget then Ketupat is the place for you. I dined there not so long ago with four friends and we ate extremely well; the cost being only Rp450,000. Located on Jalan Legian directly behind the Jonathan Gallery, not far from Poppies Lane 2 and opposite the Kopi Pot, the restaurant affords a delightful selection of traditional Indonesian foods.
Ketupat has a delightful setting; the seating is around a swimming pool and the bales are a fabulous alternative. What you will notice first is the menu. It is as thick as a book; but there is a reason. It is actually a pictorial menu which enables your selection even more enjoyable. It is all traditional food with choices from just about every island in the archipelago of Indonesia.
