Should internet access be free in Bali hotels?
Travelling without access to the internet is something many people could not imagine. Paying for your internet connection is one thing, but paying extra for it, when staying in a luxury hotel is a bit much for some people. Do you think internet access should be free in Bali hotels?
Bali has an ever increasing selection of wi-fi internet hot spots, cafes and restaurants where you show up with your laptop and are on line for free. Many places such as Bali Deli will sell you access to their wi-fi network for a couple of hours at a time.
A while ago a bar owner asked me about charging for wi-fi access. I told him I’d rather pay for a fast connection, than get a lousy connection for free. Regarding the hotels, I think we should stop skirting the issue and go right to heart of the matter, should DRINKS be free?
