Police Caught Possessing Drugs: Jakarta, Indonesia

Who said there was no corruption in Indonesia and who said that the police are squeaky clean&#63. The President of Indonesia, SBY, has always said there was minimal corruption and what there was he intended to clean up. Bring on the big brooms!.

On the weekend a police officer was arrested on the National Police's 60th anniversary for allegedly possessing 1 gram of shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) at his lodgings in Petojo Selatan, Central Jakarta.

And, as they always do, the police received a tip-off from residents that a policeman was using drugs in a rented house on Jl. Tanah Abang. Now this policeman was not just some ordinary street beat copper. In fact he was braided!. The suspect, identified as Second Brig. Faisal, who works at the crime unit of the Tangerang police precinct had refused to allow his room to be searched before the police found the drugs.

And as always, the case is currently being investigated by the Jakarta Police. The naughty policeman will probably get a slap on the wrist, retire on a full pension, and live the rest of his life quite happily in his mansion on the hill elated that his secret Swiss bank account is secure.
