Maluku earthquake causes small tsunami

We are all familiar with tsunami’s after the 2004 Asian tsunami left Banda Aceh destroyed. Tsunami’s or ‘harbor waves’ can be created by landslides and earthquakes. Recently in Maluku a 6.4 earthquake caused a tsunami generating 5 meter waves. At least 2 local people were killed and leaving 3 missing.

What to do in an earthquake: Get outside, or failing that lay next to solid object (stone bath tub, stone kitchen counter etc.). What to do in a tsunami: Not sure, except get high in strong structure. Here in Bali we did not seem to feel anything from the earthquake
