Kuta Beach morning
Kuta Beach is the first thing many Bali tourists wake up to. We’re spoilt here, imagine waking up in Hong Kong, Tokyo or Bangkok. Traffic, noise, fumes, everything you don’t want. Here in Bali the beach is next to the airport, a stroll from your hotel. This morning I snapped a photo of the morning life guards. Is that a kick back job or what!
Around 8am there was a small army of people with rakes, pushing the debris of high tide back toward the water. I tell you, pushing dirt from one place to another is a career for many people in Bali. This morning it was low tide, meaning the beach looked big and flat, a great time to go running. The rising sun casts long shadows over the trees, but once it clears the trees the feel of the sun on your face leave no doubt, that it will will a hot day.
The wind is always at it lowest in the morning, and local surfers are often slow to rise. If there is swell your options as far as waves and empty waves will be better the earlier you get out there.
