Jl. Pantai Kuta Bali
Beautiful sunny day today after a torrential downpour in the morning. Riding around in Kuta I stopped on Jl. Pantai Kuta for a Pocari Sweat. The new Circle K that opened last year close to Papa’s, has chairs, table and shades and is a good spot to rest and and watch the waves. While there I saw Budi, a Circle K employee who used to work on Poppies II. Circle K moves staff around and its kind of cool to see old faces that remember me.
At the top end of this street in the late afternoons I have often seen a police SUV with a cop sitting in the driver’s seat looking back down towards the traffic. He is looking for 2 foreigners on the same bike, as this is the highest chance of catching a tourist, which itself is the highest chance that the rider does not have a license. They were not around today, maybe it has something to do with the new hotel that is being built across from there.
If you are on holiday and are riding with a passenger and no license, you can pull a right turn into Jl. Benesari, where La Cabana is, and head through to Jl. Melasti, avoiding the cops.
The changeable weather is ending soon and we’ll be enjoying sunny weather all day. Here is the 10 day weather forecast for Bali.
