Iranian President comes to Indonesia

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is arriving in Jakarta tonight. His 6 day visit will include a meeting with Indonesian President SBY, to discuss nuclear power, atom bombs and all that good stuff. Indonesia supports Iran’s quest for nuclear power, but is against weapons proliferation. Once again SBY’s position, as an educated moderate Muslim and leader of the world’s most populous Muslim country, gives him an angle, that others don’t have.

I for one wonder what the in-flight entertainment was like on Iran Airways. President Ahmadinejad is going to have some time to kill, with 6 days on his hands. I’d like to suggest he pick up a copy of The Beat Mag, and check out his options. Arriving tonight, he might give SBY a high-5, then catch a cab over to Baby Face at Jl. MH Thamrin no. 9, for a cocktail. When hunger pains start to call, the Pres and his team should take advantage of the romantic French style, at Brasserie, located at Jl. Kemang raya no. 2 Jakarta Selata, (plenty of single ladies on Tuesdays!). Heading into the serious party zone, a trip to Stadium could see the gang get just what they’re looking for…flashing lights, cocktails and fun.

Its obvious looking at the guy, that politics in Iran is no fun. If time permits, a trip to Bali and a surf lesson at Bali Learn to Surf could mean a new beginning.
