Indonesian immigration case sets a priority for rest of the department
Indonesian immigration officials have been caught overcharging people in the Indonesian embassy in Tokyo. The scam has been going on for over 2 years and has netted $1.2m.
Every time a visa application was made, an additional charge of 4,000 yen was added, this being skimmed off. Par for the course I reckon, and President SBY is correct in stating that the immigration department needs cleansing.
