Good travel tips for Bali
Everyone has their own travel experience in Bali, which leaves them with their own view of the ‘Island of the Gods.’ Karyn Lindberg, from America visited Bali in November, and gives some useful tips for people on their first visit.
Karyn overcame the terrifying travel warnings, crippling jet lag and the impossible new culture, only to find that Bali was wonderful, her base of Ubud, was awash with handy, smiling locals, all ready to paint her a picture, and drive her around. Well I never!
She suggests a car and driver are the way to go, as is packing light and using the local laundry. Karyn didn’t mention drinking tuak with the guys, but give her a chance, she was only here for 3 weeks. Her tips for guidebooks were “Lonely Planet’s Bali & Lombok” and “The Natural Guide to Bali.
