Bali Nine kingpins get death in Denpasar Bali

Bali Nine kingpins, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, were both given the death sentence today at Denpasar District Court. In separate trials the courts ruled that their part in the heroin trafficking plan was enough to warrant the maximum sentence.

In conclusion Sukumaran’s court said Sukuamaran had been proven “to have ordered or organized the export of first class narcotics from Bali.” In Chan’s trial the court concluded by saying he “tainted Bali’s name as a resort island”.

Both men will appeal.
