Bali Nine get Australian government help in Bali
Members of the Bali Nine will get the assistance of the Australian government in the last fews days of their trial. The Sydney Morning Herald reports a large legal team will be on hand to help each of th Nine through the likely process of going from accused to convicted.
The court date is set for Feb 14th and there will likely be a huge media presence at the Denpasar District Court. I talked to one Australian journo today who said there was a whisper that the verdict might be delayed, but he was thinking that was unlikely.
According to the SMH the legal team would “monitor the transparency of the legal process and provide consular assistance to the Bali nine and their family members”. I think the process is already pretty transparent. We all know how it works, right?
