Australian generosity helps Balinese
Australian tourists from Busselton WA (I know where it is, I tried to hitch hike through there), have been helping local Balinese by donating money and being positive.
Caroline Hawkes and husband Clive, visited Bali and distribute goods and money from a garage sale in Australia. Mrs Hawkes reports seeing many disheartened Balinese people, who are feeling the effects of the economic downturn.
Living in Bali I see it too and would urge Balinese people to take a long look at how their businesses work, how they do business and their long term view to business. When the whole show is dependent on mass tourism (mindless sheep with money to spend), you don’t have to think about what you are doing. Copy cat all the way to the bank. When the nasi goreng hits the fan, people scramble to find answers to questions they never considered before.
Good job Mr & Mrs Hawkes for helping during this time of need.
