Aussie dollar down over bird flu

The Pacific Peso (Aussie Dollar) is down over concerns about bird flu. Economics is a complicated animal, and I’m not qualified to offer much on an opinion, other than to say a big part of what seems to affect rates is pure speculation.

According to Bloomberg, the fact that the Aussie dollar comes from the same part of the World as the latest bird flu outbreak, people are running to the US$. If you are an Aussie tourist visiting the US or Europe, prices have just risen for you. The good news is, you can always rely on the Info rupiah to be even more unstable. The rupiah has been going down even faster, so Aussies will still enjoys great prices and great exchange rate.
