Arriving in Ubud Bali
Arriving in Ubud around 4.30pm, Ika, Jevon and I looked for a place to stay. for me it would of been easy, head to on of the many homestays and get comfortable.
We started off checking out the rooms on Jl. Kajeng, off of Jl. Raya Ubud. The first place we checked out I have stayed before, had nice rooms, but the second floor balcony scared the daylights out of me, when I thought of Jevon climbing on everything. Ika liked the room, I said no.
We checked 3 other places on Jl. Kajeng, Ika did not like any of them, due to the style of the room, or the lack of hot water. Riding down to Jl.Hanuman, we checked out 2 places and settled on Rahayu Bungalows. Its totally fine for me, nice Balnese people, plenty of garden space, chickens running around, simple and clean, with a fridge and stove. I sense Ika would prefer not to be living on top of a Balinese family, it that inter-island thing, but she said even though the room was not to her taste, it had everything.
Its so nice for me to be in Ubud again. Its busy right now, as we’re downtown, but the place is way less intense than Kuta / Seminyak. After getting settled in Rahayu, I rode to an internet cafe on Jl. Raya Ubud, called Satelit Internet Ubud, closing at 10pm, charging 10,000rp per hour. Speed is average, especially when more people come in.
I have to take the fmaily to dinner in 30 minutes.
