Anti-pornography law to be re-written
The proposed anti-pornography law is to be re-written. The legislator and chairman of the special committee, Balkan Kaplele, said on Sunday that the original bill will be dismantled, with key parts removed.
One of those key parts of the bill was the creation of an agency to oversee the implementation of standards of decency. That would be a nightmare for most people if it was implemented, much like living in Iran during the time of the Ayatollah, with religious maniacs patrolling to impose their will.
Two of the main political parties over here, Golkar and PDI-P, said they would strive to ensure the bill respected pluralism.
